Step 1: You take a selfie
When you open the event gallery on your phone, you're asked to take a quick selfie. This selfie is captured through your browser- no app required. The photo is sent to our AI model.
Step 2: The AI creates a face map
Our AI doesn't store your selfie as a photo. Instead, it converts your face into a unique face signature tied to your facial geometry. Think of it as a fingerprint, but for your face. This signature is what we use to find you in event photos.
Step 3: Comparing against every photo
When a photographer uploads event photos, the AI runs the same process on every face in every photo. Each detected face gets its own signature, stored in the database.
When your selfie arrives, our AI compares your signature against every face in the event and identifies the ones that belong to you.
Step 4: Filtering with a confidence check
Our AI uses a confidence threshold to decide what counts as a match. Only faces that cross that confidence level are returned as yours. The threshold is carefully tuned to avoid false matches while still catching you in side profiles, low light, or with a different hairstyle.
Step 5: Your gallery appears
Within seconds, you see a personalised gallery of every photo you appear in- sorted by time, ready to download. Other guests see only their own photos. Nobody else can browse your gallery.

The heavy lifting happens upfront when photos are uploaded. Faces are processed and indexed before any guest opens the gallery. When you take your selfie, the AI matches against pre-computed data rather than re-processing thousands of photos in real time. Face signatures are not raw photos. They cannot be reverse-engineered back into a recognisable image. We store only the encoded signature, not the selfie you submitted. Photographers can set an expiry date for all event data, and guests can request deletion at any time.
